NOTICE OF RACE
18th ST MARTIN OPEN CARIBBEAN LASER CHAMPIONSHIP 2005, June 4th –5th 1) Regattas a) Open Caribbean Laser Championship: 4 - 5th of June 2005 b) Organizing authority is Sint Maarten Yacht Club c) The ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008, the Laser Class Rules and the Sailing Instructions govern the Regatta. d) The Regatta is a category C event. e) Races will be sailed on St Martin at Orient Bay.
2) The Regatta will consist of 7 races : a) 5 Races will be sailed on Saturday 4th and 2 races on Sunday 5th June 2005. b) The organizing committee may change the schedules due to unforeseen circumstances. c) Races will be windward - leeward courses. d) 3 races shall constitute a series; if 5 races or more are sailed there will be 1 discard.
3) Classes for Open Championship:
b) 3 boats will constitute a class. c) Winners may receive a prize in one class only.
4) Boat charters a) Laser hulls will be available for rent on a first come first served basis. b) Rent will be from US$ 100 - US$ 200, depending on the quality of the laser.
5) Registration a) All competitors must be a member of a recognized Yacht Club. b) Registration for the all competitors will be Friday 3rd June at 18:00 at Orient c) Registration Fee: USD 100. This includes 2 x lunches; one on Saturday and one on Sunday, and a dinner on Saturday night.
